How Do You Make Quick And Easy Baklava?
Baklava is a traditional Greek dessert made with honey and nuts. It is a great sweet treat that is portable as well and great to grab “on the go”. Because of its reputation for being difficult and time consuming, many people shy away from tackling this food. But I have a great simple recipe that will have your friends and family thinking you went all the way to Athens to learn how to make it! Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Toss together cinnamon and nuts. Unroll phyllo dough and cut whole stack in half to fit in the baking dish. Cover phyllo dough with a damp cloth while assembling the baklava, to keep it from drying out. Place two sheets of phyllo on the bottom of the prepared dish. Brush generously with butter. Sprinkle two to three tablespoons of the nut mixture ontop. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used. Using a sharp knife, cut baklava (all the way through the bottom of the dish) into four long rows, then (nine times) diagonally to make 36
