How Do You Make Quick Breads Using Sourdough Starter?
Use a sourdough starter to add a tangy flavor to your breads. Often used to make bread rise, sourdough becomes a flavor enhancer rather than a lifting agent when used in a quick bread recipe requiring chemical leavening ingredients such as baking soda and baking powder. Plan a week ahead if you make your starter from scratch.
