How Do You Make Quick No-Recipe Chili?
Chili is a great favorite and with this easy recipe you can feed a whole houseful of teenagers using a pound of ground beef! Brown ground beef (preferably 4-5% fat) and maybe a little chopped onion in a little oil. Pour off any excess fat, if necessary. Add a jar of salsa, your favorite kind. If you want to make it taste richer, add a can of tomato sauce. Now put in the chopped veggies. Zucchini seems to work especially well but you can use whatever seems best to you! Add 2 or 3 cans of drained and rinsed black, pinto or kidney beans – or combination. If it doesn’t seem wet enough, add some water or more tomato sauce. Cook, covered on medium-low heat for 20 minutes. Serve with raw chopped onion and grated cheese. If you need to stretch it, serve it over rice.
