You are even going to save a ton of cash by using a red double bed sheet for fabric because sheets are inexpensive, their thread count makes the material sturdy, the yardage is ample, and they are easily washable. Measure the window width and length. Multiply the width by 4 and divide by 2. Each divided width is the measure of one panel; make two of them. Add an extra 6 inches to the length to accommodate the top ruffle and curtain rod casing. Iron the flat red sheet. Beginning at the top of the sheet where it is folded down about 4 inches and seamed, measure the length of the panel, plus the extra 6 inches and then the width.
