How Do You Make Ribbon Flower Bows?

0

You can use flower ribbon bows as a hair accessory, a little extra something on gift packaging, small detailing in a spring wreath or for decorations. Although they may seem intricate, ribbon flower bows are surprisingly easy to make. You can even make leaves to make your flower bow look as realistic as possible. Lay your ribbon out on a flat surface. Place a measuring tape on the ribbon. Cut the ribbon so it is 22 inches long. Tie a knot 1 inch from one end of the ribbon. The knot will help form the flower, and the extra inch of ribbon will become the stem. On the other end, push through the wire from one side of the ribbon until 2 inches of wire is exposed. Hold the exposed wire with your hand. With your other hand, push up gently on the ribbon toward the knot to make the ribbon material curl and ruffle. Continue gathering the ribbon until all of the ribbon material is ruffled. Hold the ribbon at the knot with your nondominant hand. With your dominant hand, turn the ribbon clockwise
