Silly Putty bounces, stretches, and it can be molded into different shapes. You can create Silly Putty at home by using several different recipes. While many of the Silly Putty recipes require cornstarch, there are alternative recipes that allow you to avoid the ingredient altogether. You can create enough silly putty for one person or use a larger recipe to make enough for a group. By adding food coloring, you’ll be able to change the color of your putty to allow each maker to have his own custom putty. Mix ½ tsp. each of Epsom salt and water in a small mixing bowl or cup. Stir until the majority of the salt has dissolved into the water. Add two to three drops of food coloring into the mixture. Add 1 tbsp. of white glue. Stir until the mixture begins to solidify into putty. Remove the putty from the bowl or cup. Form the putty into different shapes, stretch it and bounce it. Store the putty in an airtight container or a resealable plastic bag. Combine ¾ cup of water and 1 cup of white
