How Do You Make Simple Candy Holders For Classroom Valentines?

0

Classroom Valentine’s have been a tradition for many years. School children love to give yummy Valentine treats to their classmates. Making a unique candy carrier/holder is a fun way to make an exclusive Valentine for those special friends. Cut a piece of stamped or printed cardstock into a 4 ½”x 5 ½” rectangle; or if you are using a pre-printed Valentine card, then just use one side of the card (cut it in half). Decorate your paper before you fold it and create your candy holder. Fold the paper in half and cut top right corner at a slant with decorative scissors. This will create an opening in the top of your candy holder. Now use brads, eyelets or staples to hold the candy sleeve together. You will have to use them up and down each side and on the bottom. Next attach any other embellishments such as a stamped image or die cut on the front. You can also tie a ribbon around it. Insert your candy and add a sticker on the back with your name telling them whom it is from.
