Homemade biscuits are a wonderful addition to the dinner table. This recipe is simple and easy to follow. Your biscuits will amaze everyone! Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom of baking pan with a little shortening so that the biscuits will not stick. Pour flour into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add shortening to the flour. Cut in the shortening until it resembles coarse crumbs. Add just a little milk at a time. Stir until the dough leaves the side of the bowl. Knead the mixture (with hands) on a floured surface. Continue kneading until the dough is no longer wet. It should roll off of your hands easily at this stage. Roll the dough out with a rolling pin. You may also want to use your hands to help pat the dough out evenly. The thickness should be about half an inch. Cut biscuits with a cutter or use anything with a circle shape. Place on greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 – 12 minutes. Check biscuits often because oven times may vary. Enjoy!
