How Do You Make South Carolinas Best Breakfast Casserole?
This is not just another breakfast casserole. It will start a family tradition just as it has in my house. It is a must have on Thanksgiving and Christmas morning. Ingredients are simple and most you will have on hand. Serves 8 to 10 persons and served with fresh fruit makes a wonderful meal. I assume that you could make with low fat ingredients to achieve a lower calorie option. I hope that you enjoy and will make this a must-have in your family’s recipe book. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 13″ x 9″ casserole dish with Pam. Cook sausage & drain. Place croutons in greased 13″ x 9″ casserole dish. Add cooked sausage to the top of croutons. Mix egg, soup and milk together; pour over croutons & sausage. Sprinkle with cheese. Place 6 pats of butter to top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Enjoy!
