Candles are a great decoration idea for any gathering, even a baby shower. They provide soft lighting that helps create an ambient atmosphere in any room. Put a twist on this conventional decoration choice by enhancing plain candle holders with storks made of tissue paper in theme colors. Your guests will be delighted when the candlelight shines through these unusual center pieces, casting a beautiful array of color and shadows. Draw an outline of a stork on a sheet of scratch paper and cut it out. If you are not confident of your artistic skills, print out a picture of a stork and trace it (see Resources). Trace the stork template onto sheets of pink and blue tissue paper. The number of tissue storks you will want to make will depend on the number of decorations you require.
