How Do You Make The Best Baklava?

Here is a great baklava recipe. It should be made at least 1 day ahead of time. It is even better after 3 or 4 days. You can substitute other varieties of nuts such as pistachios or peanuts. Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees Put nuts, sugar and cinnamon into a food processor and chop finely. Brush melted butter on the bottom & sides of a 10″x14″x1″ pan. Layer 6 sheets of phyllo dough in the pan brushing each layer with butter. If using 1/2 sheets (preferred) then use 2 sheets per layer. Excess phyllo dough will hang over the sides and will be cut off after the final layer is applied. Spread 1 cup of nut mixture evenly over phyllo dough Layer 4 more sheets (8 sheets if using 1/2 sheets) of phyllo dough, brushing each layer with butter. You will notice that the sheets are about 1″ short, so stagger layers to cover the bottom of the pan. Spread 1 cup of nut mixture over the phyllo dough. Repeat steps 6 and 7 two more times and top with remaining phyllo dough. Be sure to butter each layer. Trim
