Step 1 Rinse about 4 cups of basmati rice with warm water. Step 2 Put the rice in a large bowl and cover it with warm water and some salt (about 3 tablespoon) Let it soak for a few hours. This will result in longer and tastier rice. Step 3 Boil about 3 quart of water in a large pan. Step 4 Drain the soaked rice and add it to the boiling water. Let it cook for a few minutes until it’s half cooked. If you cut the rice grain in half it shouldn’t break but the middle would be still a little hard. Step 5 Drain the half cooked rice. Step 6 Put a big pan on the stove and add some oil. Move the rice to this pot. Step 7 Add some olive oil to the top of the rice. Use at least 3 table spoon of olive oil.
