How Do You Make The Best-Tasting, Italian-Style Caesar Salad?
Here is a quick and easy recipe for Caesar Salad that does not use the traditional egg ingredient. I learned this recipe while working for a small Italian caterer in New York. Our customers absolutely loved this salad. It is very tangy and bursting with flavor. This salad is so addicting that you will be whipping it up every chance you get. Try it out and let me know what you think. Remove dirty leaves from romaine lettuce, cut of the first inch from the head, and wash the lettuce under cold water. Drain water from lettuce. (Leave the lettuce intact as a single head and do not remove the individual leaves). On a large cutting board cut up lettuce into 1.5 inch pieces (width-wise) and throw the pieces into a large salad bowl. To the salad bowl add some garlic powder (several dashes), some fresh black pepper from a peppercorn crusher (about 5-6 turns from crusher), and a generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese. To the salad bowl add 3 tablespoons of olive oil, then add about 1 shot gla
