How Do You Make The Perfect Cheesecake?
When attempting to make a homemade cheesecake for the first time, many people find that although they followed the directions perfectly, the cake turns out not quite right-it is either cracked, burnt around the edges, or sunken in the middle. Follow these steps to ensure that your cheesecake turn out perfect every time! Preheat oven and make a water bath before you start your cheesecake. Place cookie sheet on the middle rack of your oven and add water to the pan until it almost reaches the top edge. Next make sure ALL ingredients are at room temperature when you start. This includes cream cheese, eggs, and sour cream if it is included in your recipe. Before you pour the batter into your spring form pan, grease the bottom and sides with shortening (I use a plastic baggie on my hand to grease the pan-this works well),add a small scoop of flour to the pan and rotate the pan around to ensure that the flour lightly covers all of the shortening, then turn the pan upside down over your garbag
