How Do You Make The Three Best Barbeque Sauces In The Southern World?

In the South you will normally find three different types of Barbeque Sauces: Vinegar based, Ketchup based and Mustard Based. Depending on where you are determines what kind of sauce is used. I have experiments with all three types for years and have finally decided these three are the best. They are equally as good on Chicken, Pork or Beef. Try one of them, or all three, and enjoy. For Vinegar Based Sauce: 2 Cups Apple Cider Vinegar 2 Cups Water 1/2 Cup Ketchup 1/4 Cup Black Pepper 1 Tablespoon Crushed Red Pepper 1/2 Tablespoon Dark Brown Sugar 1 Teaspoon Salt 1 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Let cool completely before using. This will keep in the refrigerator for up to six months. For Mustard Based Sauce: 1 Quart Yellow Mustard 1 Pint Ketchup 2 Cups White Sugar 2 Cups White Vinegar Mix all ingredients together until sugar is dissolved. This will keep in the refrigerator for up to six months. For Ketchup
