Chop the tomatoes and chili peppers finely, and sautee them in a 2-quart sauce pan with a drizzle of oil. When the tomatoes and chili peppers are soft, add the crushed garlic to the chutney, as well as the mustard seeds, turmeric, and coriander. Add a bit of salt to taste. Let the mixture simmer for about 15 minutes on low. Stir the tomato chutney occasionally so that it doesn’t burn on the bottom. If you have curry leaves available, add 3 or 4 to the pot.
