How Do You Make Turtle-Like Candies, That Compare Favourable To The Famous Ones?

This recipe is easy enough for children to make and delicious as well. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Butter cookie sheet. Children can easily make this recipe but young ones should be supervised around the oven and hot pan. Onto the cookie sheet, place pecan halves in groups of three with the three ends meeting in the centre. In the centre of each trio of pecan halves, place a caramel. Heat in oven until the caramels begin to soften. You will have to help young children with this step. Remove pan from oven, and with a buttered knife or spoon, spread the caramel until only the ‘legs’ of the pecans are visible. Leave to cool slightly. Melt chocolate over hot water. Pour a scant teaspoon of chocolate on top of the caramel and spread slightly with knife or spoon. Allow to cool completely. Enjoy!
