How Do You Make WABUN RICE SALAD?
Wabun Rice Salad is a nice, fresh summer dish. It works well as a dinner or lunch, and is perfect for an outing or a picnic potluck! Remember…old fashioned recipes are always the best! Step One: Cooking Wild Rice Add wild rice to cold water and bring to a boil uncovered, then turn heat to low and cover the pot. Simmer for 30-40 minutes, uncovered. A little liquid should remain. Cover and let stand for 20 minutes. Step Two: Vegetables and Fruit Chop, blanch, and otherwise prepare the vegetables. Step Three, Assemble the Dressing Wisk the oil and sweetener first. The honey will help the lemon juice stay in suspension. Wisk in the lemon. Wisk in the flowers, herbs and salt. The dressing gets more complex as it stands, so you can make it the day before. Step Four: Putting it Together and Serving. Toss the dressing and rice-vegetable-fruit mixture together. Serve at room temperature. Serves: suitable for potlucks.
