• Preheat oven to 375 degrees. • Open cans of water chestnuts and drain off liquid. • Use cutting board to cut each slice of bacon in half and then cut it in half again. You will end up with four strips of bacon from each slice. • Wrap a strip of bacon around each water chestnut. • Push toothpick through end of bacon and water chestnut leaving about ½ of the toothpick coming out of the water chestnut. • Place in baking dish toothpick side up. • Once all the water chestnuts are wrapped with bacon (takes about 30 minutes), prepare the sauce. • Take mixing bowl and add a ½ cup of chili sauce, mayonnaise, and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly with whisk until brown sugar is dissolved. Pour mixture over water chestnuts. • Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.
