On warm summer days, kids love to play outside the house running and chasing. They will enjoy running around your yard using this homemade wind vane toy out of used plastic container or plastic glasses. It is a money saving toy for kids and very safe to use. Cut the plastic container in shape like a propeller at about 7X3 inches. Oblong or semi round are better shapes than pointed ones. Make 3-4 pieces of cut outs. You can make smaller sizes if you want or bigger than the suggested measurement. You’re now ready to make a hole at the center part of each of your cut outs. Be sure that the hole is bigger enough for the rod to pass through and for the propellers to turn when the wind blows. Arrange your cut out propellers across each other and tie them with wire to let them be in place. Be sure that the holes are in line. Insert the plastic rod in the holes of the cut outs.
