But focusing on remembering your lines can be a liability because it prevents you from pulling from those emotions that will make you a good actor. Read your script over and over in a monotone voice. Don’t try to put any personality or character in the lines you’re reading. Just read them like you would read directions to a how-to manual until the words are ingrained in your head like the Pledge of Allegiance.
