Obtaining a passport for a country in Eastern Europe means that you will have citizenship in that country. There are many differing ideas of what countries make up Eastern Europe. However, according to the CIA World Factbook, the following non-European Union countries are considered to comprise the region called Eastern Europe: Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine and Moldova. Decide which Eastern European country’s passport you will apply for, and contact that country’s embassy or consulate in your home country for information on the application process, waiting time, required documents, fees and where to submit the application.
