Here are some tips on how to open a can without a can opener so you can get to the tasty food inside. Use a nail and hammer to tap into the can. Now be sure to sterilize the nail with alcohol or a burning hot flame and make sure that the nail is not rusty. Remember you are only doing this in a desperate situation. (It’s also a good idea to have a current tetanus shot.) Tap the bail using the hammer until the nail punches through. Then repeat this around the entire can until the lid comes off.
