How Do You Open A Kenmore Series 70 Washer?
Familiarizing yourself with your Kenmore series 70 washing machine is important for when the need arises that you need to troubleshoot and make repairs. Kenmore appliances are known for their longevity and durability, however, when the need to repair the unit arises, being familiar with your machine may save you hundreds in repair bills. Unplug the machine from the electrical outlet and move away from the wall. Unscrew the two screws in the front console of the machine (they will be located on the end cap on the right and left side of the console). Slide the console forward and up and over the back of the machine, resting on its hinges. Disconnect the wire harness that is runs from the console to the top base of the washing machine. At the base pull the harness out of the plug. Remove the two spring clips with a putty knife or a flat screw driver. Open the lid with one hand and with the other pull the opening forward, towards you while lifting up slightly. This will open up the cabinet
