You’ve just moved in to your new house, and you love the vinyl replacement windows that the seller had installed. They’re neat and energy efficient, and make the house look new. There’s only one problem: you haven’t a clue how to open them. There are a couple of tricks to using vinyl replacement windows, and within minutes you’ll be opening, tilting and locking them as though you’ve been doing it for years. Swivel the locks that are on the top of the lower section. You will need to turn them counterclockwise half a turn to unlock the window; if you look directly down you will be able to see them disengage. Lift the lower window a third of the way up. Note the two triangle buttons on the top of the lower frame; push them both towards the center of the window and pull the top of the sill towards you.
