Painting exterior rock siding is an easy way to update the outside of a building. Properly cleaning the surface and applying a primer or sealer will result in a more professional product. Using a pressure washer and a paint sprayer will help expedite the painting process as well as enable you to apply a more event coat of paint. Prep the rock by first removing any debris. Use a garden hose with a spray nozzle or a pressure washer. Consult with a clerk at your local home improvement store on using a pressure washer. Some rock or grout may deteriorate when pressure washed. In this case, use a garden hose, and for tougher debris use a medium density bristled brush. Let the rock dry completely.
