How Do You Paint Wicker Outdoor Furniture?
Wicker is a common material used in outdoor furniture. However, because your outdoor wicker furniture is left to the natural elements, its paint will deteriorate over time. Luckily, it doesn’t take a great deal of skill to remove the loose paint and apply a new coat. With some fresh paint and a little elbow grease, you can make your piece of wicker furniture looking almost brand-new. Rub a soft wire brush over your wicker furniture, removing all loose bits of paint. If the wicker piece is newer and doesn’t have any signs of the paint falling off, this step is not required. Sand down your wicker furniture if you used the wire brush. This allows for a smoother feeling, especially if there are still some areas with paint on the wicker. The sanding removes any small areas of paint that may already be pealing off, not the entire paint layer. Wash the wicker furniture with a damp cloth to help remove excess dirt, paint or debris you might have loosened while brushing and sanding. Wipe your w
