How Do You Perform A Screen Capture In Mac OSX?
If your job involves documentation, imaging, or graphic design, Mac OSX makes it easy to perform a screen capture. Best of all, it’s free, you don’t need any extra software, and it’s so simple you’ll be amazed. Here’s how to do it: Full Screen Capture. For a full screen capture that includes a shot of your entire screen (toolbars, tabs, desktop icons, menus, etc.), simply press Command + Shift + 3. You’ll hear a nifty camera shutter snap sound as the screen shot file is saved to your desktop. Partial Screen Capture. To capture only part of a screen or page element such as a text box, press Command + Shift + 4 to display the crosshairs. Depress your mouse button and drag the crosshairs around the object you want to take a screen capture of. Release the mouse button. Again, you’ll hear that camera shutter-snap sound as the picture file is saved to the desktop.
