Performing an Easy Two-Star Alignment is the fastest and easiest way to locate stars. Press the Sun Warning Key prompt by Autostar. Press enter to get started. After entering the current date, press enter. Enter the correct time along with choosing either AM, PM, or 24-hour clock (blank), then press enter. Choose “Yes” or “No” for Daylight Savings, then press enter. When the Alignment Option Screen displays “Setup: Align”, press enter. When the Select Alignment displays “Align: Easy”, press enter. Set the telescope in the Alt/Az Alignment home position. Two stars are chosen by Autostar for star alignment. The First Star for alignment will be the brightest star and easiest to recognize. Use the arrow keys to focus and center the first star in the eyepiece, then press enter. Repeat the procedure for the second alignment star.
