Performing the Heimlich Maneuver can be difficult when dealing with an unconscious victim. These steps will allow you to help the person until medical personnel arrives. Remember to remain calm and perform all steps thoroughly. Step 1 Lay the victim on their back. Tilt the head back and check for breathing. Have someone call 911.
