How do you personally define knowledge, understanding and wisdom ?
I just answered a question asking what we thought of people who thought they knew it all. I was saying that my belief it we meet people to either learn something from them or to teach them something. This is how knowledge and understanding are spread throughout the world. A person who is certain they know it all breaks that chain and keeps ignorance alive and thriving. More than anything, it is unfortunate for them and those of us who seek to learn. On of the reasons I love Yahoo Answers so much is because I am open minded and have much to learn. I’m 38 years old and the only opinions I have that are difficult to change are those based on experience. I may form an opinion on an issue based and what I’ve learned but that decision can be changed if I’m presented with solid evidence to the contrary. But if my opinion is based on an experience with that issue it likely won’t change. I define knowledge, understanding and wisdom in the same way. If my opinions can’t be changed, then I am not
Well, knowledge is basic information in various topics such as history or science, Wisdom is the ability to apply that knowledge from history or science in real life, Understanding helps you learn someone or something by using Wisdom + Knowledge The lack of some of them affect me by leading to mistakes or making bad decisions,
