How Do You Plan A Hike To Abrams Falls In The Great Smoky Mountains National Park?

0

Hike to Abrams Falls, a beautiful waterfall nestled in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Starting in either Maryville or Townsend, TN take E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, also 321 North, into the park. Once inside the park, the road will split, bear right and follow the signs for Cades Cove Road. Continue for several miles until you see Cades Cove Loop Road. Travel about halfway around the one-way road. After mile marker 10, you’ll see the turnoff for Abrams Falls on the right. Follow the short gravel road to a parking area. Cross the small bridge and begin your hike. The trail runs for 2.5 miles, or 5 miles round trip, and is easy to follow. When you reach Abrams Falls, stop and enjoy the view, but remember to use caution. Swimming is discouraged as several people have drowned here. Turn around and follow the trail back to the parking area.
