How Do You Plant A 14 Inch Hanging Basket?
Hanging baskets come in two main varieties. The first is a standard plastic pot that has attached hangers. The other is a metal basket that has a liner, usually made of dried moss, that keeps the soil and plants in. A 14-inch basket is a suitable size for many flowering and ornamental foliage plants to thrive in. Hang baskets indoors to bring some of the garden inside or use them to adorn canopies over doorways or near patios for additional outdoor color. Soak the liner, if applicable, in warm water overnight. This moistens it thoroughly so it doesn’t soak water out of the soil and away from your plants. Squeeze out excess water and place the liner back in the basket after soaking. Mix two parts peat moss, one part sand and one part perlite.
