The ‘Improved Meyer’ lemon tree makes it possible to grow a citrus tree in a northern climate. The tree offers medium-size, juicy lemons that are sweeter than ordinary lemons because they are a cross between a lemon and a mandarin orange. For this reason the fruit turns a yellow-orange color when ripe, rather than pure yellow. In addition to the succulent fruit, it displays evergreen foliage of glossy deep green and fragrant white blossoms year round.
