Any plastic tote will do. Larger containers are needed for items like carrots and tomatoes while smaller sized totes are good for herbs and baby vegetables. Wash a plastic tote in warm, sudsy water and rinse well. Drill holes in the plastic tote using an electric drill with a 3/8 inch drill bit. How many holes you drill depends upon the size of the bottom of the tote; generally speaking, drill holes about one inch apart until the entire bottom is covered.
