How Do You Play A Shadow Priest?
• Remember buffs. By applying your stamina, shadow protection, and spirit buffs, your priest will have a much better chance of surviving the harsh PvE environments made for tanks. Be sure to get Vampiric Embrace, as it gives you health for every shadow spell that hits. Be sure to activate these before battles so you conserve mana. • Get into a spell routine. There is a certain order of spells that will maximize the priest’s dps. You need Power Word: Pain, Devouring Plague, Vampiric Touch, Mind Blast, Smite, Mind Flay, then repeat without Power Word: Pain. Pain and Devouring Plague are both DoT spells, so getting them out of the way first is advisable. Vampiric Touch is also a good DoT, but you probably won’t get it until a later level. If you speced shadow properly, your Mind Blast will do more damage on Power Word: Pain inflicted targets.
