Diminished chords are played with the same basic fingering in the two most popular ukulele tunings. Whether you are using a tenor, soprano or concert uke tuned to GCEA, or a Baritone tuned to DGBE, your fingers will be in the same positions relative to each other. The difference is the position of the chord: It will start on a different fret depending on which ukulele you are using. Play the standard Fdim chord. Press the G and E strings down at the 1st fret, using the index finger for the G and the middle finger for the E. Press the G and E strings down at the 2nd fret, using the ring finger for the C and the pinky for the A. This is the standard Fdim chord fingering, and can be used up and down the fretboard for many different variations.
