How Do You Play Traders Of Genoa?
Although Rio Grande has made many great board games, Traders of Genoa is perhaps unique insofar as everything in the game can be traded between players, from goods and money to rewards and even goals. Place all the wares (little wooden cube pieces) in the appropriate buildings (behind where they are marked) on the board. Place the round claim markers and the 1:1 trade cardboard markers on the appropriate side buildings, and the rest of the special cardboard marker pieces in piles sorted by type on the side of the board. Take the four piles of game cards (message, privilege, small order, large order), shuffle each one separately, and place these on the unmarked corner buildings. Each player takes two 5-ducat bills, two 10-ducat bills, two 50-ducat bills, and one each of the four game cards. These are kept hidden. Select a starting player.
