How Do You Potty Train Boy/Girl Twins?

0

I don’t feel potty training boy/girl twins is different from any other sort of potty training. By the time your children are old enough they will be well aware of the differences between boys and girls and realise that there are many things that boys do differently from girls (clothes they wear, toys they play with etc). What is perhaps more of an issue is the fact that there are two children to potty train. However, they need to be treated as individuals, so you may find that one is ready before the other. Whatever the issue, I always sit my two down and explain the situation and go from there. If you are lucky, once one is trained the other will be keen to do the same. However, you may find that once one is trained the other wants to be different and to stay in nappies. Often a bit of psychology is necessary!!

You have made it through the first years of your twins’ lives now it is time for potty training! Here is how I was able to potty train my boy/girl twins. 1. First you need to make sure they are ready. Have them show you where the potty is and use a doll to tell you how to go potty. You might have to show them first. 2. Go to the store and pick out big girl panties and big boy underwear. Something that they choose will ease the potty training process a little bit. Also pick up some really cheep white undies. Don’t forget to pick up a potty seat that will sit on the toilet and also their favorite treat. 3. Get a bunch of their favorite drinks. Pick a day for concentrated training. Choose a word that you will use to teach them that going potty in their pants is disgusting. For example you can choose: gross, kaka, yuck … etc. 4. Get all excited. Today they are going to learn to go potty. Hand them a pair of their really cool panties. Have them hold it. Tell them it is dry. Have them tell
