How Do You Pour A Concrete Carport?
Carports are enclosures that people use to park their cars under in order to protect their automobile from the elements. Carports differ from garages in that they have no walls, but rather are a single large slab of concrete with a sturdy roof supported by beams on all sides. Concrete for carports is poured the same way as it is for patios or walkways, and involves first determining the slope of the ground, then countering this slope by digging around it and creating a form to pour into with 2-by-4 pieces of lumber. Pouring the concrete will require a cement mixer, and you can hire a mixing company for the job. Hammer four stakes in the ground marking the area for the carport. Lay a 2-by-4 piece of lumber on the ground along one of the sides and place a level on top of the board. Raise the lower end in the air until the 2-by-4 is level.
