Here’s how! • Open and drain a can of tuna and put it in a food processor (or if you prefer it more chunky, use a fork to break the tuna up). • Add some mayonnaise. A good trick to lower fat is to use light or half and half if you own both regular and light mayo. • Add a pinch of garlic powder. This really adds great flavor to the tuna mixture. • Blend (or mix by hand) all of these ingredients. • Soften some butter in the microwave so that is easy to spread. • Butter both sides of each slice of your chosen bread (rye works wonderfully). This will in turn give the melt a nice crunch and great flavor. • Heat the griddle (or pan) and place the buttered bread on it.
