Everyone knows that you need a resume in order to get work as an actor, but what goes into an actor’s resume? How do you prepare one that is professional and meets industry standards? If you follow these instructions, you will have a resume that can help you to get interviews for that acting job you have been dreaming about. Plan your resume. Your resume should be simple, concise, and fit onto a single page. Your goal will be to have a resume that can be stapled to the back of your 8 X 10 photograph (called a “headshot”). Together, your resume and your headshot introduce you to agents, casting directors, and producers. So plan before you type! Your name should be prominent.
