How to prepare tasy beef barley soup within 30 minutes. Preparing tasty soup doesn’t have to take you all day in the kitchen. With just a few food items I scraped together in my kitchen, I was able to make delicious beef barley and vegetable soup within 30 minutes and you can too. You will need ½ cup barley, 1-2 large cans of beef stock, 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables, 1 cup fresh chopped parsley, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 2 tablespoons garlic powder and ¼ cup corn oil. In large stewing pot place beef stock, barley, salt, pepper, garlic powder and corn oil. When broth begins to boil turn heat down to simmer and cover with lid. You want to make sure that barley is thoroughly cooked. Finally, after about 20 minutes, add frozen mixed vegetables and fresh parsley, simmer an additional 10 minutes and serve. Of course, the longer you allow the soup to simmer the more taste it will acquire. However, if you are in a hurry for something quick the soup will be ready to eat within
