Vellum is a semi-transparent paper often used in scrapbooking and other paper crafts. Its smooth, elegant look can come in handy when making things like invitations. Vellum’s smooth and somewhat repellent surface doesn’t allow ink to soak into its fibers like other papers do. Ink can easily smudge on vellum. Here is how to print on vellum paper, either by printer or by hand. There are a variety of vellums available in many colors–some are solid and others are patterned. Solid ones are recommended for printing on. Set your printer settings to “transparency” so that the least ink possible is used. This will speed up drying time.
