How Do You Prune A Rosemary Christmas Tree?
Rosemary Christmas trees are often sold in supermarkets and nurseries around the holidays. Not only are they inexpensive holiday decorations, but they serve culinary purposes and can be used in your garden when spring rolls around. Rosemary Christmas trees are usually very well shaped when you first buy them, but as the rosemary grows out, they can sometimes lose their shape. It is possible to prune them so that their shape lasts longer without damaging the plant or interfering with the lines you want your plant to have. Take a picture of your rosemary Christmas tree and print it out. Outline the shape of the tree you want to have on the picture using a permanent marker. When you do this, some of the branches of your rosemary plant will be hanging outside of your drawn permanent marker border. Look at your rosemary Christmas tree with your garden sheers in hand. Find the branches that are too long using your photo. Clip those branches all the way to their base, near the trunk of the ro
