How Do You Put On An Acoustic Guitar Strap?
Guitar straps that have been specifically designed for acoustic guitars are often made from custom tailored leather and can be quite expensive. They are also less versatile than electric guitar straps because they cannot be used on standard electric guitars that that have been equipped with strap mounting pins. However, electric guitar straps can be quickly modified and mounted onto an acoustic guitar. Tie one end of the 6-inch piece of string (or cord) to the hole in the guitar strap that is meant for the strap pin. The end you should use will be the end with the adjustment clasp. This will keep the strap’s adjustment clasp away from the body of the guitar and prevent damage. Tie the other end of the string around the headstock of the guitar. Feed the string between the face of the headstock and the guitar strings directly behind the guitar nut. Tie the string around the headstock so the strap sits to the left side of the headstock face. This will allow the guitar to hang naturally ag
