How Do You Quickly Remove Fresh Coffee Stains From Carpet?

0

Have a coffee spill on your carpet? Don’t fret just yet. If you can get to the stain while it is fresh, you can quickly remove the coffee from your carpet. Immediately absorb as much of the coffee as possible by placing paper towels or cloth towels onto the stain. As soon as one towel is full, use another. Continue until no more liquid is being absorbed into the towels. Pour about one-half cup to one cup of water onto the stain and blot it all away. Repeat until the stain does not get any lighter. Don’t pour too much water at once, as you can soak the carpet pad and cause smelly mildew. Combine one-fourth of a cup lemon juice with two cups of lukewarm water. Add one squirt of liquid dish soap. Using a sponge or dish cloth, apply the mixture to the carpet stain, rubbing the entire stain gently. Rinse with a bit of clean water and blot away. Place a clean white cloth or towel onto the spot and step on it to soak up any excess moisture. Repeat until fairly dry, then allow to air-dry.
