How Do You Raise A Betta Fish?
Over the course of the years of raising Bettas, I have learned some key things that could be handy for a new beginner. Here are some tips and advice on what you should do when you bring home your new friend. Get a proper size tank. Don’t keep them in a cup or bowl. Sure, they can survive in there but who wants to be cramped? Give them enough room to swim and live. Make sure you buy food. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to turn around and get food. Put this on your list so you don’t have to go through the inconvenience I caused myself. Feed them once a day or every other day. I go in between a mix of pellets (otherwise labeled as “Betta Food”) and frozen bloodworms. I consider 4 pellets or 3 worms a meal. Sometimes I split up the meal over the course of the day so that it’s not one big meal but a few small meals. Either way works. Just be sure not to overfeed.
