Baby ducks are very cute and fun to care for, and if you follow the proper steps, raising them is not very hard. They do however, require a lot of attention, so be prepared to put in some time when taking on the task of raising ducks. Baby ducks need to have their environment at just the right temperature. After they first hatch, they should be kept warm at about 90 degrees, then the temperature can be dropped gradually to about 85 degrees over the next week. After that, lower by about 5 degrees each week until they start growing feathers. In general, ducks like to eat their food wet, so always be sure to mix water in with whatever you feed them. Mixing water with the food not only ensures that they drink enough water, but also reduces the risk of choking on harder foods. Some common foods include meal worms, bugs, and greens.
