How Do You Re-Grow Used Green Onions?

0

Here’s a neat trick that will get you 3 or more uses out of one store-bought green onion. Step 1 Chop the part of the green onion that’s actually green and use in a recipe. Step 2 With the remaining white part with roots intact, stick it into a tall glass of water. Step 3 Fill glass with about 1 inch of water. Step 4 Place in a very sunny location and under a UV lamp. In about 7 days you’ll have another green onion to eat! Step 5 Repeat as many times as you can. You have to keep the water level above the roots. During the second growing, I recommend adding a 1/4 tsp. of organic fertilizer. I actually use a seaweed powder fertilizer with mine and it works great.
